Surface structure options for bricks and brick slips

Are the surface structures of bricks and brick slips completely identical?
  • Brick and brick slips surfaces with the same name are not completely identical but they are designed to fit with each other and to be used next to each other in the same wall.
  • If looking for an identical look the brick slips have to be cut from a normal brick.
Why should a brick slip be manufactured and not cut from brick?
  • Thin manufactured brick slip is often the more cost effective option and it can also vary in thickness (19mm-39mm)
  • Also corner brick slips can be manufactured cost effectively
  • Thin manufactured slips endure weather slightly better since they are made with more dense clay mixture making them absorb less moisture
  • Producing facade panels with brick finish is easier with our manufactured thin brick slips as they are extremely accurate in size and they are also noticeably more durable than alternative options
Are corner slips needed?
  • In order to produce facade panels with a realistic brick finish, corner slips are required nearly always
  • Corner slips can be manufactured from any colour or size
  • Below are some examples of the most common corner slips
